It's hard to imagine from this joyous picture of Sarge enjoying the good life today that his life before was so sad and lonely. 

Completely excluded, he'd spent his days and nights before going from a basement to a 10X10 outdoor pen and then back to the basement again. 

But all that changed when Joan and her family adopted Sarge and introduced him to the true bliss at her house -- swimming in the backyard pool, fetching tennis balls, getting spoiled by four grandchildren, and even having another Golden at home to play with 24/7!

Joan reports that Sarge is a healthy, happy, affectionate dog who is absolutely adored by every member of the family -- and if Sarge could speak, we're certain he'd say he loves them just as much!!
