Peyton had a rough start in life. This one-year old neutered male was found wandering the streets of Newark, New Jersey, and subsequently taken to a shelter where he remained for several weeks. He was adopted by a couple that really didn't have time for him, so he became hyper and difficult to manage. GRRI-NJ was called and told to "get him out of this house NOW".

This typical "in-your-face" golden just wanted someone to love him and show him who is the boss. And Rebecca, Roger and James Powell were just the people to do it.

His new family gave him the structure he so desperately needed, and all the love and care that goes along with it. A note from the family reported that "even though the in-ground pool has a bolted down cover on it, he discovered a puddle of water on top and was having a wonderful time splashing around".

His life on the streets is over.
