Honey's original owner was an elderly person who passed away. A neighbor, who is a golden lover, took Honey in for the family while the estate was being settled. She offered to keep Honey until a new home was found. The neighbor called our rescue and we hit the applications. We wanted to place Honey in a family situation that was close to what she came from.

The Smith family was the perfect family. They had lost their Golden Amber at the tender age of 14. After over a year of healing they were ready to adopt again. It was love at first sight. Even the name Honey was perfect as they almost named their first golden Honey, before deciding on the name Amber! ...

Honey  settled beautifully into her new home, with full run of the house, her new LL Bean bed and lots of stuffed animals. She is pictured here with her human nephew. Honey also got to go to Cape Cod soon after being adopted.  We're sure there were many other fun trips after that!

With sadness, we note that Honey has passed away.
