What do you do with a dog with severe separation anxiety? Find him a new home as a therapy dog!

Doc suffers from severe separation anxiety. He needed a place to live where he would have people around him at all times and he would never be left alone. As GRRI-NJ was contemplating what to do with this otherwise wonderful dog, we received a call from the Yager Health Facility. They were looking for a therapy dog to live on their recreation floor in their hospital wing. What a perfect match!

Doc has free reign of the third floor of this facility, where he has a bed next to the couches in the TV room, and a bed in an office where he can go for "down time."  He visits with the patients whenever he wants, and spends his afternoons snoozing on the leather sofa in the hospital administrator's office.

His gentle, friendly personality is a perfect match for his new home, and they are a perfect match for him.
