Buddy was a two-year-old golden who was turned in to a local shelter because someone in his family became allergic to him.  When our volunteer went to evaluate him, she was surprised to meet a slim, well-mannered boy who had been professionally trained -- both pretty rare occurrences in the GRRI rescue experience.

However, his recent neuter incision was infected, which meant a trip to the local vet and going home with our volunteer for TLC and medication until it healed.

Once fully recovered, Buddy was adopted by an approved family.   They recently wrote to tell us how fortunate they are to have gotten Buddy.  He goes on several walks a day, always watching for squirrels and deer.  He loves to chase a ball and bring it back.  He is also enjoying field trips to PetSmart.

It sounds like Buddy is the fortunate one!
