It is often said that owners and their dogs look alike. Sometimes they even share the same characteristics. Well, that was the case with Benjamin and his adoptive mom, Priscilla.

Benjamin was a stray that GRRI rescued from a kill shelter in New Jersey. He was examined by a veterinarian, brought up-to-date on his vaccinations, tested for heartworm, and then declared ready for adoption.

After a short stay in one of our foster homes, Benjamin met his match….Priscilla. He has some gray hair - Priscilla has some gray hair; he has arthritis - Priscilla has arthritis. He's a senior, and so is she. It was perfect!

They spent all their time together except when he had to go out into the yard to greet his new friend, the mailman.

Benjamin was lifted up off of the streets and into a safe, warm and loving home. He was one happy dog, and for that and all the joy he brought her, Priscilla is one happy lady.

With sadness, we note that Benjamin has passed away.
