GRRI-NJ -- Memorials/Laddie Stoopack

My darling Laddie was born on my daughter's birthday, September 21, 1997, and was buried on my birthday, February 25, 2008. He was everything in my life from the day the breeder told me she only had a male, and knew I wanted a female, until he died in my arms. When I saw him and exclaimed at the fact that he was "so big", her reply was, "Well, if you don't like the look.....!". We went home...over 100 miles, and the next morning, I called the breeder, because Laddie had heard I didn't "like the look", and I was so upset over this. The breeder told me I was "in luck", because a female had been returned that morning, but, I said I was coming for Laddie. It took 5 hours to get my boy due to an accident on the Thruway, but, as he sat in my lap on the way home, I knew he was going to be the love of my life. He loved everyone. Everyone loved him. His intelligence and sweetness were evident in everything he did. Laddie's presence for 10 and a half years enriched my life, and losing him leaves a huge, painful, void in my heart and in the hearts of the twin cats who adored him.
