Jasmine touched everyone who has met
her and gave this world a little joy and happiness that is sorely missing.
She was my best pal for over 12 years. I loved her as people love their
children. As sweet as she was, she also had more inner strength than
anyone (pet or person) I have met.
She beat cancer once at 9 1/2 years old and fought valiantly to the end
this time... she even gave me the best xmas present - after 4 weeks of
being in and out of the hospital, being lethargic, hardly eating or
drinking, losing 15 pounds... she came to life the night of December 13th
- she ran and played catch with the tennis ball ("baby"), ran up and down
the stairs, ate chicken... it was as if she knew and decided she was going
to go out in style... the next morning she wasn't even able to move or
drink water... she curled up and looked like a sweet angel... not once
yelping or whining from the extreme pain she was in... even as I had to
carry her to and from my car. She gave me her last breath and warm look
and her spirit is now with all of us who loved her.
Many people have asked me as I walked her "how old is the puppy?” I would
say "The PUPPY is 12!" --- Until her dying day, she was always exuberant
and loving and in great shape...
They say when you die you lose 21 grams - some people think this is your
soul - well if that's the case - when I die I will lose 42 grams - I will
carry her soul and spirit within me...
Love
John & Jasmine
