From the first day I saw you , I knew you'd be a good match for me. Though you left way too early, I have many great memories of you, Jake.

Like the trip to Treasure Island, when you ran into someone else's room at the doggie motel.

And how you greeted me at the kitchen door with a couch pillow or a sneaker in your mouth.

And all the trips to the dog park, chasing that frisbee that you loved.

And the day I came home from work to find you laying out in the yard in a steady rain, like it was a sunny day.

Also the trips to the rehabilitation center to do pet visiting; continuing the work that Hunter had done.

I am thankful for the nearly seven years of good times we had together. But I guess God said it was your time to pass over the Rainbow Bridge...to join Hunter, Bear, Merlin and all the others who've gone to keep our loved ones company.

Goodbye my friend, you were a faithful companion. I'll miss you.
